Lol!! There were places that we wouldn't send the white workers to to pick up food after dark, I lucked out almost never having to pick up food as I worked mainly 2nd shift! Definately and interesting group of co workers, man I miss working with that crew.

Even FLIR took a dump......I work for a national restaurant food supplier and they are panicking in CA. Cutting expenses every place they can.

I have puts I thought were going to be worthless that are suddenly well in the money in the last 45 minutes today...Hoping for back to back red days Got some SPXS too...I'm short short and long long...

at this point if we have another elevator down, I'll just deploy the rest of the the allocation that I have in bonds and money market into equities, this time I'll actually listen to myself and buy at the 2400 levels like I should have done before..

either way, I have rolled my allocation back into equities at a 13% discount and 9% discount from my roll-out, respectively, so I'll take it. But I'll be watchful for any big drops to roll in the rest and really make the portfolio "aggressive" (personal capital still tells me my portfolio is conservative, but they think I should have 25% in international markets... no thanks)

 

IMO I don't see why businesses can't be open as long as people wear masks... it seems like a very simple solution without wrecking our way of life. Restaurants and bars (where wearing a mask is obviously a little tricky) might need to do something else.. but retails stores should be re-opened.. and they are re-opening

Oh that’s just accepted. That’s part of what makes the food good. You want the cleanest kitchen the finest waygu beef raised on organic wheat and salt come from the finest salt caves of northern Italy (is that a thing?) 400 dollars for a 5oz steak, yeah kitchens going to be clean. 40 cent tacos I don’t expect Gordon Ramsey back there cooking up the tortillas.

I think part of it is “oh yeah there was that BS thread on the forums and hey, I have money to invest and everything’s down”. I’m starting to dial back and escape back into etfs and maybe leave Monopoly money for a ways away now.

if we plummet again I will definitely be buying in a few more bucks but I don’t have the money to swing around. Fortunately my job is relatively safe and stable for the time being.

 

Something else I’ve noticed is I never realized how much I agree with people like Bryan Adams and Elon Musk, but here we are.
