Jebus that's a lot of money! We're actually looking at a new (to us) vehicle for my wife. Dealer is doing the remote test drive thing, bringing it to our driveway, we shouldn't have to leave our house for the whole process!

We have been talking about getting the wife a new ride. We have been thinking smaller.

    This is the limited

Hey if you want it you want it. I like the 4runner but never really had a desire to own one myself. Its the SUV Tacoma, pricing and resale accordingly.

I’m so so on it. It’s nice, comfy and rugged like the taco, but an Automatic trans.

I think the price is pretty decent, compared to new limited.

Once things go back to normal and I can spend some real time shopping, I'll start looking into unpasteurized. I'd love to find some fresh pressed cider from the local orchards for the Fall, I think that would be the best!

Not a bad price for a limited, if it's what you're after.

Oh yeah those things go for like 40K right? Hell, right now I'd at least talk to Toyota about new. You also get 2 years maintenance, and they're desperate right now, might be closer in cost than you'd think with how those things hold their value like the tacoma!

I like them, but I've had a Jeep GC before. If I have something this size, I'll use it like a truck, so I shouldn't get an SUV. If I want the hatchback space, I'll get another mazda (OR VW Golf next time maybe....) and not use it like a truck.

But as made evident, I am not gentle on my vehicles, I am never buying a new vehicle again, and will probably stick to budget stuff in the future anyway. Also no more hybrids. Wife has a hybrid camry, I need a computer to flush and bleed the brakes o_O

how much more is it for a new one? on the new ones you get carplay, keyless start, keyless entry etc. sometimes i wish i had waited for 2020 on mine, but i couldn't resist the blue

i think the limited has a power liftgate too. you don't know how much you love something until it's gone...

Just test drove a Ford Flex, might end up being the new family car, replacing the Escape. It'll be nice because it's big enough for all of us, weekend bags and the dog so we wouldn't have to take the truck everywhere. Not that I don't love driving the truck, but it's not exactly what'd you'd call fuel efficient.

We looked at a new one, 45-47k

I think this saves me that drive off the lot hit. It’s more than I wanted to spend right now, but I think it’s under priced by a grand or 2, and it’s less than my truck when it was new.

:eek::eek: Wow those are expensive. Hot damn I knew they were more than the Tacoma I didn’t know that much more. Honestly for that much I’d just bag a rav4 instead but I’m not an suv person. 25k on the clock is nothing and if it has all you want, yeah that would be worth it to get the used one you posted.

sweet! Ford has had their blunders, looking at the DCT and the 5.4 ticking machine (I mean engine) but otherwise I’ve been impressed. I didn’t want a 10 speed transmission otherwise I’d have heavily considered the ranger (did drive one, but 10 is too many speeds. I like the 6 in the Tacoma).

Some of those have the 3.5 EcoBoost in them, don't they?

I really like my 10-speed. In daily driving, it functions as if it has fewer gears since it skips some. When towing, it takes advantage of all those ratios.

I agree, right now Ford seems to be on their game though and we've had good luck with their vehicles lately (I've been in one of their trucks since 2014 and we've had the Escape since 2016. The Flex is a smooth riding vehicle and it has a surprising amount of interior space. We were between that and a Nissan Pathfinder. Money worked on the Ford and, honestly, I'd rather have the Ford than the Nissan with a CVT.

Yep, they're a de-tuned version of the one they put in the F150 but I'd imagine, with a retune, that could be increased relatively easily. The one we bought has the 3.5L N/A V6 though, no turbo noises for us... Still scoots along pretty well though. Big improvement from her 2.5L I-4 Escape that did all it could to get out of it's own way.
