I just bought the KIV 700, love all of it. But does not have Bluetooth. I have heard the x994 is a very nice unit to.

Sound wise probably not much of a difference. I just bought a KIV-BT900 myself. Love it so far. Has a different screen than the others though. This will actually display ipod video on it.

I don't really see much to justify paying the 50 bucks more myself.

Of the two options he originally listed they both play CD's it looks like. My KIV-BT900 doesn't though. Which was fine with me I never to listen to CDs anymore. Does your 700 play cds?.

dont use cds anymore so thats not a big deal to me. i cant really see justifying the extra 50 for a few features that i wont use.

Just do some research. C.D.'s play better music than ipod's.

i have the alpine ida x200 now, so i havent had cds in the truck for a while. im fine with the sound quality. i just really need to upgrade to bluetooth capability. so as long as the kenwood produces the roughly the same sound quality with a good bluetooth, ill be happy

I'm no audiophile, but sound is fine with mine. And the Bluetooth in my opinion is great. In my last vehicle I had a Pioneer Avic D3 and the add on Bluetooth on there while decent was hit or miss with getting your phone connected. Sometimes be a little difficult and then you had to sometimes also struggle to get your phonebook transferred. I got my Blackberry to connect right away to the Kenwood and it automatically downloaded my phonebook without having to do anything. Top notch with the Bluetooth as far as im concerned.
