    For the cost of repair if you pay out of pocket you could probably buy a new tailgate.
    Some holes for the slide hammer, bondo, primer and paint........., personally I'd replace it. Good luck.

    I had my boy do it but it’s a few coats of yellow and then a clear coat.

    Unless you install rivet nuts To attach the reverse hammer???

    Actually with as much of the inside panel removed exposes, an old school shop might be able to push that back out. Or if you plan on buying a new one, you might attempt it yourself first. Just remember the last is is the first out!

    I think you mean "intracoastal" waterway. Sorry but couldn't resist. I mean, somebody had to say it, right?.....:boink:

    Edit. I spent most of my life in Charleston so I'm very familiar with the intracoastal waterway. Spent tons of time there fishing, shrimping and enjoying water sports. :thumbsup:
