My truck will not go into s mode. Is there something I have to do to get it in that mode?

Have you read the manuals description of S mode? It may help you understand it better.

The dash does? If so you should definitely take it to the shop so they can fix it.

Push the gear selector to the left after you put it in D.

    Done.

    Try that and report back.

The dash doesn't say anything but the owners manual does. When I pull the shifter towards me it doesn't engage the s mode

you dont need s mode to put a boat in the water, however if the ramp
is slippery and your boat is heavy you may want to put it in 4low to pull it
out of the water. you do have a 4wd dont you?

when you put it in s mode it will go into 4th gear and no higher until
u upshift or downshift it will go into that gear and no higher.
that way you can keep it in the lower gears when you dont want
    it to go into overdrive.

Just to repeat...You don't need s mode to get a boat out of the water. It will not help at all.

Whenever i pull my 2k lb. boat out of the water, or put it in, i use 4wd. If a bigger boat, use 4wd low. S mode is ok in 2wd when towing up hills while in the ECT mode. S mode should operate with a nudge of the gear shift lever to the left when in the drive mode.

Did you ever figure this out? Having the same issue with my week old truck. Blue “s” light by the shifter lights up but on the dash it still says I’m in drive.
