Got the black truck back so it was time to start making real moves. @desertjunkie760 helped me get both trucks to @eccracer104 and @Titus94 house where the welder is. While he burned on the Demello sliders I pulled the @ARCHIVE Garage Hammer Hangers from the black truck and moved them over.

Turns out Poway is a bit warmer than Imperial Beach so some protection was needed.

    Bronze sliders on a brown truckIMG_20200502_184937.jpg IMG_20200502_184950.jpg

Hangers installed, in my hurry to install them I put the leaf/shackle bolts in backward and had to lift it back up and fight them in correctly. Do shit right the first time folks.

Got word from Demello that my front bumper is finally complete so headed north to pick it up tomorrow. Then it and the rear will got to powder for some Matte Black and all the brackets will get Red Baron like the other doodads, maybe the swingouts as well, still thinking on that.

Picked up some Performance Lower Control Arms from Dirt Kings

That means soon I'll need to pull the UCAs from the black truck and then strip the front end of the BRWNTRD. Will get put back together with Dirt King Lowers, Rokmen Uppers, Gusseted Spindles and Extended Fox 2.5s.

The rear is more complicated so I'll get to drive around a squatted truck with stock wheels. I'll be that dude that gets mocked on the spotted thread.

Dogs are cheaper than kids. Trucks are possibly more expensive than lady friends.

Spent today ripping some parts off the black truck but didn't finish in time to get the bumpers to powder so that will have to be tomorrow. The @Mobtown Offroad rear fought to stay on the black truck but some help from @Titus94 to get the bolts holding the gate on made it happen.

Removed the Sprinter D-rings from the bed bolts to move over. Pulled the hard mounted GMRS radio, need to figure out a better spot for that to increase usability.

Also added the Shittco Hack Blocks and some spirit levels to the GFC. Still on the black truck but that's no longer a build thread, that's a demo thread.

Just dropped the bumpers, $350 for the pair and the brackets. They told me 250-300 for just the rear in June when they did my shock coils, I guess it pays to procrastinate.

Quality Powder Coating in Chula Vista if anyone needs stuff done down south

Started the IFS teardown this afternoon

    Fits perfectly in the garage

This setup is gonna cause problems for me, we'll see where the failure point moves to

    Rokmen Pro-Series UCAs
    Dirt King Fabrication Performance LCAs
Fox Extended Travel 2.5" Coilovers With DSC Adjusters
    Total Chaos Gusseted Spindles
    Durobumps Front Bumps

I'm liking the black and red thing, I need to call ToyTec and see if they sell a red 14" 650lb spring. The orange set wasn't a huge fan of the first powdercoat, I don't believe a second would be appropriate.

It's really nice working on a suspension that hasn't been abused, not covered in mud, very little rust. The entire passenger came out with very little fuss, didn't break any tools, bust any knuckles, quite nice after years of the War Wagon.

Ran out of useable light in the garage but got all but the coilover back on the passenger side, the lower mount is aligned and I decided to call it a night instead of fight it.

I'm excited to drive this around for a few days hidden behind a stock bumper and wheels. Is it ok to huck a truck with the factory bumper still intact?

    Halfway through

    Driver's side - Stock AF

    Passenger Side - Less so

And apparently shock mounts line up better if you use the correct side, it was time to quit last night
