This is the same style as the factory trd skid plate. No need to remove it to change the oil.

I always thought it looked cool but I want something much thicker than the flimsy stock skid. Also they always have 20% sales and stuff, i'd wait until they do another "Free $100 tow hook mount" sale.

I've got a couple recovery points on my coastal front bumper anyways so I dont really need another tow point. I likely wont need the skid soon, so maybe I'll wait and see. Wanting to get some opinions first I spose

The dealer has to take mine off every time they change the oil. Maybe it's a 3rd Gen thing?

That’s not going to protect much. You can get a real skid for not much more.

Get the BAMF skid if you want MAXIMUM beef and protection from anything. It was actually designed using my own truck as the prototype baseline.

If you bend this skid, you bent your frame. Put it that way.

    1/4" thick steel or .250"

This thing is for the serious wheelers and it's beef reflects in the weight it has. If I remember right it weighs some massive 85lbs.
