Yes it is, I was floored by how heavy that manifold was.

 

How heavy should a manifold be?

 

The high performance aluminum one they replaced it with was only 25 pounds. They obviously were not too concerned about saving weight in older cars.

 

I wonder what one weighs in a Tacoma...?

 

Probably not much, pretty sure its plastic on my truck.

 

What kind of car had the 390?

 

I am not 100% sure, they set out to find something that had been sitting in a junkyard to see if they could get it running and then it led to a performance build up. If I had a guess I would think it came out of some kind of truck.

 

I was reading about the AC and Furnace Brands and which companies make them, it said Rheem and Ruud are the same.

You may have, it was kind of rare that only 2 were part of it cause it seemed most manufacturers make several brands.

 

Most manufacturers do make several brands, but Rheem and Ruud look identical!

Thanks brother! I spoke to him for a few extra minutes today and he said his goal was to make a Toyota of a system for me, boring but reliable, lol.

 

When I was in High School our Drivers Ed car was a Buick Regal but it was probably around an 80 or 81 model, had the extra brake and gas pedal on the passenger side for the teacher, lol.

 

That thing is beautiful. I’d love to have one. They rode like a dream.

Gonna be 85 degrees here on Friday, and 78 on Saturday! Sucks there won't be any car shows...

 

Yeah that would have been good weather for one if no rain, hopefully we will get a couple shows in later in the Summer.
