It all comes to shot placement. Gut shots are the worst. Pure disgusting. Every animal I've taken out dropped where they stood. Same with my gf.

Every now and then I would hear a weekender (from my neighbor who rents out his section of woods) shoot a deer and see it run towards me with a busted leg. Pisses me off when I see it suffer. And when I finish the kill here comes the weekender pissed off cause they see me over the deer like I'm going to claim it. Which I don't but I'm there to tell them that there a shitty shot and go back to a range and learn patience and wait for the shot.

I've only done heart shots so far. Hard to mess up a feeder 100 yard shot. The axis I shot was walking at 200 yards. My roommate's little brother gut shoots his deer with an AR-10 and brags about how much larger his deer are. At least mine don't suffer kid.

Tell him how he likes cleaning out that milkshake. My neighbor is actually not renting out this year cause of the "complaints" he's getting about me. He came up last week and asked me about it and I told him. He's 76 years old we never had a problem with each other and he keeps to himself. And he told me the complaints he's getting and we laughed about them. And he he gave me the coolest compliment ever "I've seen the animals you and your woman pulled out. Very respectful and clean, you don't like to see them messed up and suffer. Which is why I'm closing my land off for awhile" his son is getting into hunting and I taught him how to butcher and where to shoot and take your time and wait for the shot. If it doesn't happen don't worry about it.

Looking at buying a used 4 wheeler. I know nothing about them, can anyone that does recommend any reliable brands/models that I should look for on the used market?

I'm shopping for one this year too. I've got a buddy that has owned a few Polaris, they seem to treat him pretty well. I'm looking for a Honda Rancher, personally. I've never had a serious issue with a Honda motor, and I've owned a bunch.
