G6's?? Heard lots of good stuff about those blades on lawnsite.

Sometimes those things jump out at ya, give the kid a break :D

I looked into this too, it quickly got just as expensive as an all out fancy vacation. The idea was a nice slow trip and do it for cheap...turns out that ain't possible. Not even considering dumping and lot rentals if you got to a campground for a few days too.

I love the ford flex. I've tried to get my wife into one a few times but she doesn't wanna ditch the 4runner. If I didn't need a truck bed, I might have been a flex owner myself.

Good find! Hope you guys like it, I'm sad they are not making them anymore.

Honestly, I sort of like them as well but, this is the first vehicle I've ever heard my wife say she really likes (this is a few years ago when they first came out). She's always had practical vehicles or ones that fit the budget at the time so she's really excited to be getting this one. It was marked down really low and it's a Limited so it's loaded! We're paying barely more for this than what we bought her Escape for back in 2016 and they actually did pretty well with the trade in number. It should be a nice family hauler for us when we're not dragging the camper.

I bought the G3s. Didn't see G6s for my deck, but didn't dig too much. A friend has a small lawn business and they said they have had great luck with any Oregon blades they've used.

Yeah they make good blades. I'd be surprised if you weren't happy with them!

I am looking into having some suspension work done and an ECGS bushing installed. Anyone know of any reputable shops that can help me out on the south shore of Mass? I heard Off-road Elements in Abington was a good place. They seem hyper-focused on Jeeps though.

Give them a call. The may surprise you. Money is money and offroading isn't just Jeeps.....if it was, all trails would be littered with broken down jeeps everywhere without the promise of recovery lol

Thanks again lol. It was more of concern with not having knowledge on how to work on these trucks, but shoot, anything would be still be better than if I tried. That ECGS looks brutal.

I bet that Escape could still beat the brakes off a 1981 Ford Escort..then again, what wouldn't..

Yeah, it can, it just screams doing it! I used to have to drive a mid-80's Escort as a company vehicle. It was always the last thing off the company lot and whoever didn't have to actually haul anything got stuck with it. That thing was a miserable POS but it took an absolute beating and kept on going.

Told them I’m not saying no, sales guy asked if we could work numbers. Ok, what you got. Willing to put an extra 4K which pays for 1/2 of what’s left on Taco other half coming out of savings. Gave me the numbers. Told them need to come home, got the is there anything we can do, yada yada. Nope, going home to talk to the wife and run numbers. Salesman went to make me a copy of numbers while I went outside.

So come out with someone that is up a level. Take it home for the night, drive it. Sure. I’ll bring it back in the morning. The wife is liking it, likes the cushy. The out the door price is 34,535.17 right now. I’d like to see that at 32k. We are thinking that we can drive it for 4 years or so not be upside down and able to get rid of it if wanted. That’s when our last kid should graduate.

    Some more picts

Let’s say I’m not a fan of the wheels or oversized tires that rub a little. The salesman told me someone already refused to buy it because they wouldn’t swap out the rims.

Slick looking ride. Love the looks of them, but still 'spensive.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd never heard of those wheels before and someone shot them up on a Ford forum earlier today. Now, I see them on the Runner. They have some decent designs, some of which are marked way down (which is why they were on the Ford forum).

Those guys (Fifteen52) are running a sale on their 20" wheels, $125/wheel and they fit the Super Duty. For someone looking to upgrade, it's tough to find something in the 8 lug flavor in that price range. They're a different style wheel though.

That said, I'm sure you could sell off that set, replace it with something stock sized, if not stock take offs, and still come out alright in the end if you were so inclined.

Not as much as Tacoma’s but people sell 4 runner take offs all the time. Facebook and craigslist. I think Tacoma wheels fit the same pattern and tire size could be wrong though.

Yes it’s pricey, which is why I don’t think I would ever go new on one. But this is cheaper than my Tacoma new, and it’s a year older and less miles that I’m my truck now. We had been looking to get the wife a new ride, thinking 25 to 30k was pushing it. But if you factor in what we might have spent to rent something for the cross country journey, then it’s even cheaper.

That’s what I figure, some one will want them. I have 4Runner pro rims on my taco I could swap over and put stock back on my truck, but I don’t think that will happen yet.

    HATERS!!!!!

I honestly really like the rims, but hate the tires on there. I don't think that's a bad price for the 4runner either. It will hold its value and you can sell it without loosing much down the road.

Now that you slept on it, what's the plan!!

Not hating.....just an astute observation lol. Agreed on the tires....but both tires and rims are "to each his own and easily changed." I agree on the price, they will hold their value and easily upgradable for offroad.
