True. But aren't they usually on all 4 sides. They love people to know they punch holes in drywall. LoL

I just went snug with mine. You will definitely be able to tell, when tightening it, when it’s enough.

And also, if you happen to drop either of the two nuts holding the housing in into the track of the roof, like I did, it’s easier to go in and get them from the outside once you remove the housing.

Love 'em. Smooth ride and quieter than I was expecting them to be. They performed fantastic in the northern Ohio winter.

No. The match is apparently a $46 rattle can or a $14 pen on Amazon 8t0 is the paint. I used a metallic blue rattle can at Menards. Since it was far from the body I figured it would be a good enough match.

You can find them unpainted for around $65-70, or some dealerships will color match them for quite a bit more.

Interesting that you liked the grabbers in the snow. I did not like then in the snow in Alberta Canada.

Did you need to do anything with the wheel studs to get the Spidertrax spacers installed? I bought another brand 1.25" spacer and I'm having a bear of a time getting enough threads on the lug nuts that attach the spacer to the hub to make me comfortable. Any chance you have a photo of the lug nuts attaching the spacer and showing how far the threads come through the lug nuts?

I was curious if the issue was with the brand I bought off Amazon or what

The spacers seem quality enough with a nice hub centric ring and the manufacturer's tech support has been responsive, but I'm still struggling. I've purchased some extended lug nuts to attach the spacers, but they still don't look good enough to me with the stock wheel studs. I've bought some just slightly longer wheel studs (Dorman 610-312) - actually I bought a bunch of different length wheel studs but the 610-312 are looking best for me. The others were so long and I would not be able to put the wheels back on without the spacers if I wanted. I think I'm happy with the threads using the new Dorman wheel studs and the extended lug nuts, but I'll need to replace all the wheel studs on the truck which will be a huge PITA. I've had to buy several Wheel Stud Installer tools and none of them are really working well for me because the distance between the stud and the hub is just not enough to fit the tool without grinding a little material off the hub centric ring. I've played with several other options like washers, bushings, and event the back hole of a BA Adjustable wrench - but... :goingcrazy:

I gotta figure out if I need to punt and just buy the Spidertrax or keep sliding down the rabbit hole getting the spacers that I bought to work.

Safety first, piece of mind 2nd. Go with your gut feeling! Your priorities as far as appropriate stud length sound right to me.

Not that I know that much about it but personally I would go with wheels that have the proper offset when I could afford it and until I could afford it stay stock.

Just an opinion and you know whats said about opinions.
