I believe MLB is aiming for a July 4th restart, no fans in stadiums though. Also heard NFL is planning for starting but didn't pay attention to any date expectations.

NASCAR starts back this Sunday and NBA is looking to return as well.

Local radio station DJs this morning talking about the difference between what news media reporting regarding grocery store stock & prices and what folks are seeing in reality. I'll let ya guess which one is worse...

 

I am really starting to wonder what's going on (as if I haven't the whole time). The lock downs were to "flatten the curve" and keep from overwhelming hospitals. I haven't heard of one hospital that was overwhelmed (that's great of course, good job everyone). So now lock downs are being extended under a different guise, to keep people from getting the virus? That was never what they were for. I don't get it.

 

If I were the ceo of almost anything I’d be tempted to say one of our products was facing a shortage and watch it fly off the shelves as we happily restock.

 

GA is opening up - lifting restrictions in stages. Seems appropriate given what our curve looks like and allowing for the lag time in new infections & reporting.

Haven't paid attention to what other states are doing, though heard something about LA county lockdown extending three months? If that includes Hollywood I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

 

The SEC sort of frowns open market manipulation in that regard. Just ask Musk. lol

 

We're good here, didn't really ever close. Mostly open now. I am talking about places like LA, NY, etc. How are they justifying the Gestapo in those places?

No idea. Like I have said, I was good with trying to keep hospitals from getting overrun, whether that would have happened without the shutdowns we will never really know. But preventing everyone from getting it was never a plan. If they showed it was much deadlier or more dangerous than previously thought that would be one thing, but I haven’t seen that. And there has been 2 months to make reopening plans. And yet it all seems cobbled together with no real direction.
