my truck sits high enough, and sliders stick out enough that you have to use them to get in and out lol. they're also very slick when it rains and your leg can slide down between them, where a fill plate would be. that's with the rustoleum bed liner spray on them...which isn't that grippy lol

    I gotcha.

the rustoleum bed liner spray definitely isn’t that grippy. I had it on my last bumper per recommendations on here, but I’ll never use it again on armor.

why not? I like having it on my bumpers, holds up a bit better to scratches and such and touches up the same as regular spray...

Maybe the 3rd or 2nd best looking 3rd gen wheels on a 2nd gen... Gotta get the new tires in soon.

It doesn’t touch up as well to me. it’s more expensive, and mud/dirt sticks to it harder.

    :notsure:

I just buy a 6 pack or whatever it is on Amazon and it lasts like forever...so cost is kinda meh...couple bucks over a long time frame..

I also just don't really wash my truck so the mud/dirt doesn't bother me...just touch up the spots I know get hit/scratched, which takes a rock or tree hit instead of just a limb sliding down it like the standard stuff..

Yea I do like the look plain, but itll be slick.
Their SOS got um on the last sale, also that duplicolor bedliner does way better than rustoleum looks better too. Thought about masking off the tube and just doing the fill plate.
Yea I think my wife would do that about once and be pissed.

Yea I think im more liable to step on the fill plates than the tube, may tape the tube off and bedliner those fill plates.

HBWF did the enamel trailer paint on my rear bumper and I have no doubt it will hold up to abuse better than any powdercoat, rattle can or bedliner will. I may end up doing my sliders the same way.

This is what I've been working on, hopefully a bottle opener. I'm not sure if I can cut it though is the issue without blowing through the metal as tight as some of these holes are.

I'll probably have to remove the lugs on the wheels and just make them circles, even if even if i do that it would still be the most detailed tacoma bottle opener I've been able to find on google. I've been working on this off and on at work for about 1 hour or so. what's average or good length for most bottle openers? 5" long x 3" height and it count as a keychain or hell maybe something you just keep in your truck idk. Right now it's just a learning ordeal.

yeah I can't like that post lol. your problem sounds more like lack of fill plates than grip tape though.

that's sweet. if you could do an outline of each gen you'd have a crazy market...

I was thinking about that. Maybe even have different angles, like the front ends and rear ends of trucks.

I've thought about FJ's and older Land Cruisers as well as 5th gen 4 runners. It's just going to take a lot of time.

Yeah it will be! I don’t use my sliders to get into the truck though lol I step right onto the floor mat and slide right out.

idk what you're talking about, photos?

I was thinking about Molle Racks and I would beat everyone's price on them. I'd have to figure out mounting though.
