    Struggling immensely with power chords for some reason and it’s driving me insane.

    My beautiful Taylor 814ce Deluxe is MIA. Should of come Thursday but didn't, never came Friday and nobody knows where it is. Sweater, FedEx, have no info as it's states it's at a FedEx Facility near me. But nobody can find it. Tyler has already stopped the charge on my Sweetwater Card, but we all want to know where the hell it is.

    I struggle to mute G B E or B and E depending which power chord I'm in. And then I have a terribly hard time switching from like a D5 to an A5 even though its only a 1 string shift, I just have retard fingers lol

    rest your pointer finger against all the strings that need to be dead. also work on just picking the strings you're fretting. as for the string shift, fret the D5 with your pointer and pinky (i usually only play 2-note power chords from the 5th string on) so when you come down to the A5 you only really need to shift your pointer and add the ring finger.

    i hope that made sense.

    Probably at least the charge was reversed. Such a beautiful guitar though.

    That's what I try to do. I can usually get B muted but I miss E often, even though I try and just strum the 3.

    When you 2 note, are you just using E/A and A/D? So for D5 pointer on 5th fret A and pinky on 7th fret D? and then A5 pointer on 5th E and ring finger on 7th A?

    Trashcaster nearly up and running. Needs a nut and setup. Probably will change the saddles or maybe the entire trem.

    Callaham is good choice. I usually go with a Wilkinson or schaller. This one will most likely get vintage strat bridge with the “pat pending saddles” to keep it in a period correct condition.

    root and fifth. so D5 will be two notes, and the A5 will have three (root-fifth-octave).

    e----------
    b----------
    G----------
    D--7----7--
    A--5----7--
    E-------5--
    |||D5|||A5

    edit: original chord diagram got fucky.
