It doesn't look like the onboard wifi works with the vehicle off. What a shame, having wifi while camping would have been nice. But it seams like I only have access while driving or if I' leave the keys in it? What's the point in that? Anybody know a work around?

My truck came with the wifi hot spot option. I got a 90 day 2G plan for free, trail offer. Got the wifi working but as soon as I shut the vehicle off, the wifi shuts off also. Pretty useless if I can only use it while driving.

Silly me, I thought people went camping to get away from technology...anyways I think you have to pronounce it WeFee for it to work with the truck off...

It's for your passengers while the vehicle is moving. If you're the driver, then you should probably be focused on driving.

Neat, but I have a tablet with a hotspot, still cool though.

Again its basically worthless for me if it only works while the key is on. Be nice if I could get it to work 24/7. I don't think the battery drain would be much while camping, at home I could just shut it off.

Yeah I do the same with my phone, the rates are just cheaper for unlimited on the vehicle than my phone.
