    2017 suspension. 265/75/r16 Cooper AT3 4S.
Haven't posted on here in quite awhile (although I frequently lurk) since I've been busy finishing my student teaching and grad school. Now that I have some time on my hands due to the rona, I've been looking at what I want to do to my truck. I gave it some attention this week by adding some RokBlokz mudflaps. I opted for the short version since I'm really not a fan of mudflaps in general. What do you guys think? Cant decide if I want to keep them on or not. I also added the factory bed mat which I'm pretty sure is one of the top recommendations when it comes to mods. Should've done that long ago! Is there anything else you guys think I should do to improve the looks of the truck cosmetically and/or functionally? I'm happy with the suspension and tire set up I currently have. I would like to do a slightly bigger suspension lift and maybe 33's down the road but since the mpg's are already mediocre, maybe not. Also, I noticed a nice little hole in my grill from what I assume was a rock :(.

Wow. Surprised nobody replied. Really like the mud flaps man. Did you keep them on? I found this thread cause I had to remove my front OEM flaps yesterday due to rubbing with my bigger tires, but I'm actually a fan of mud flaps so am looking for something that I can replace the OEM flaps with that might be "ok" with some rubbing. These look like they could be a good solution.

I like the mud flaps too. I was a Subaru guy before and these are very similar to the look of the Rally Armors that I use to have. I'll probably get myself a set too.

Oh, and if you're looking for cosmetic mods with functionality, consider some auxiliary lighting like some round pods or something. Makes driving at night a lot nicer if you live around wildlife.

I have those Rok Blokz in the short version and in general I like them. I've never had them hang up on rocks or be any issue off roading. Since they are short though, when I replaced my tires to BFG KO2's, small rocks that were stuck in my tires flung past the front short flaps and kept hitting my lower side panels of my doors. So, I have a lot of nicks. My tires are also flush with my fenders and my sliders did protect some, but good god was there a lot of rocks being flung. I think if I had to do it again, I'd get longer floppier flaps for the front. Those Rok Blokz are stiff.

    Bed mat changes the world.

If you like the way your truck rides and gets you where you want, I'd leave it alone. Otherwise, looks like you have an excuse to replace your grille

Good to know! I think I'll order the long version then! I think, from what I've read, the "long" version is basically the same length as the OEM flaps. Which I though were a fine length.

Did you have to buy different hardware to attach the rear flaps? I bought a set a long ass time ago and never installed them because I couldn't mount them.

It's been a while since I've installed mines, but I recall that the mudflaps did mount differently and came with the hardware needed to install. If you don't have the hardware, then I'd contact the company to get them.

I still have them on. They've grown on me a little bit but still think I prefer the look of the truck without them. They provide some decent protection on gravel roads but since they are the shorter option, some rocks still get past them.

Me too. I had a few foresters before I got back into toyota pickups. I find myself missing a manual forester every once and a while.. If toyota made some sort of rally vehicle, I could be tempted. lol

I've got a few color matched oem grilles saved on eBay but they are spendy. I'll probably do it eventually...

Yeah. To each their own. I don't know why, but I like the looks of mud flaps. Got mine in the mail today. Going to put on tomorrow. The two off-road excursions I did with the new tires sans flaps really messed stuff up! Excited to have some protection again. I got the XL so hopefully provides some decent coverage.

Good to know. Might have to put the box knife to work if so, but I read on their site that the XL are the same length when mounted as the stock flaps. At least I think I read that. We'll see when I get them on tomorrow. Keep ya posted.
