Welks/Druggieport trail

You guys have convinced me, who's up for some tail ??? oops I mean trail tomorrow ??

seriously if any takers just respond or PM me, I'd like to head out from the AM/PM, or where is the best place to enter & I'm assuming its a case of un-enforced trespassing, meaning that technically the property isn't open for offroad use,, BUT !! its been an accepted "open use" status (theres a few like this around east county) & law enforcement hasn't really been summoned to start ticketing & towing people off. Is this not the case ??

I wont be going but if you are going in the morningish time frame you should meet me at the WalMart parking lot off Aero and the 15N on the way up so I can give you that damn tire you buggin me about. Lol!

Elizabeth and I hit the Welk Trail and took it all the way to Panda Jerk's 'Drug Airport' (and back)... from 1-3 pm today. It was a beautiful day and we were the only four wheeled vehicle in there... a couple of pit-mini m/c bikes at the drug airport was the only others there.

I did text and call Doug's phone and PM'd him a couple times, as well... ???

It is 4.5 miles from the Access by the AM/PM to Panda's Drug Airport... and there are several side roads we have not yet traveled. This is a 4WD road... L4 was used often to save the parts and crawl over and up and down stuff... The skid plate got a couple crunches... all good fun.

Anyone have his home number? His cell was turned off today... He gave me his number last night to call him when we could meet him today... to go 4 wheeling on the Welk Trail.

Shit Dave I still feel bad about the other day , I mean it was sudden decision & it was just kind of a wierd day for me I guess, shit I didn't think you'd show but I shoulda known better my phone was at home on charger with messages & now its time to add time , I hate cells, maybe you know of a decent wireless sevice where I don't have to pay for alot of shit I'll probably never use, just making/receiving calls ,send /receiving some text .

I ended up just doing more driving on the pavement

Whats Welk trail like at night ? Anyone ever run it I wonder, I shouldn't even say this !!!!

 

You know amigo, I am just having fun with your no-show! LOL It is good to just go out and drive...

I would probably say Welk's at night would not be a wise choice... If the Sheriff's department isn't busy, someone will probably see the headlights and send the helicopter out!

It took me 4 times. 2 reasons, like you mentioned about airing down & I was trying to approach it without going 80 mph like I saw a few do, actually I've only been up it once before about 35 years ago, at night, piss drunk hanging off the side of a buggy !!!


It's still short but still pretty steep....
