Has anyone been successfully able to disable the TSS and lights/warning messages that accompany it (either from failure, being unplugged, etc)? I've at my breaking point, I've been dealing with this for the past 1.5 years (numerous times at Toyota service shops).

Please, let me know. I suspect I have to obtain one of those scanners, or find a friend who has one.

Interested in this as well. I hate my TSS, it always thinks something’s in front of me. I would happily get rid of it if I could.

As soon as I heard about TSS I ran out and bought my 17’ Tacoma. Was going to wait another year but sure glad I didn’t. Crappy to hear about all these issues with it

I had the dealership turn it off when I got my last free oil change. If you need the recall done for the grill sensor seal just have them deactivate it at that time. Since I had oversized tires, they suggested turning it off anyway. You need to sign off on it, because Toyota is covering their assets.

Go to Longo and speak w/ the service manager. Don’t waste your time at a small dealership. You’re not that far away

Really? Sucks you are having those issues. My TSS works perfectly fine. I love the adaptive cruise control, works beautiful.
Never had any issues except when it snows hard, i get warning message when snow builds up on the sensor, goes away when i clean it.

The automatic braking is great too i think. I wasnt paying attention and the truck slammed on the brakes when someone in front of me suddenly stopped. I would have stopped without the TSS but its good to know its there just in case. I also like how it beeps when you are reversing and someone is coming from the side.

IMO the resale value will be better with TSS.

I don’t want to write about my long story here. I just need someone to answer my question - the TSS will not be disabled on my 2018 without dash warnings. Toyota won’t/can’t do away with those.

I’ll spare all the details. I just need to know if there’s a way to disable it completely without any dealer involvement.

Same here, glad to have it.

If that's the worst decision you've ever made you should count yourself as VERY Fortunate.

Don't know how the '19 operates but mine doesn't work like that. There's an actual mis-calibration with the unit.

You buy the Ridgeline first. Post it up on Ridgeline World and then link me.
