w/o reading 100+ pages can someone tell me the following?
    1) octane learning - will this be included in final? i know it was mentioned before
    2) tow mode - looking forward to this, hopefully this will make it to the 2.0 final?

From what mat said and the way it sounds is it’s just not getting enough fuel when it’s been sitting.

I really am excited to test out tow mode as well with towing my trailer. Still curious if anyone running the latest 2.0F test tune has played around with Towing in Tow mode and how it's worked out for you so far.

I’m also interested. I drove to the river last weekend with 3 kids, wife, 2 dogs and gear (no trailer). The whole drive made my grumpy from the TC and gear dance. This was one of the older 2.0 betas (the one that has a working ECT).

In for info. Ive been looking for forum chatter about this. I find 20-30hp gains from coils a hard pill to swallow. If they really do manage that and arent insanely priced, they wont be able to keep them on the shelves.

I find it very hard to believe.
Not to mention the stock ECU has dwell settings for stock coil packs which are calibrated about as close to perfect as can be.
Change the coil packs and the dwell timing is wrong.

No concerns, its not like its cranking for a long time. It feels like an extra 5 rotations for me, a very unscientific observation.

What is tow mode? I’ve got the latest and have driven all the variations.

I don’t think Mat has fully defined it here yet. I suspect it’s different than simple gear lock. I’m sure the gears hold a bit longer and want to stay higher in the rpms. Common opinion is that it does not include gear lock, but that’s to be discovered soon.

Yeah, the only thing not 100% clear to me is if tow mode ALSO includes gear lock.

I was under the impression from others on here that 2.0 will be as follows:
    D- Normal
    S- Gear Lock
S+ECT- Tow mode with no gear lock

Could be completely wrong about that though.

I thought tow mode disabled atkinson cycle.

For my beta it's D normal
    D+ECT performance
S mode + ECT gear lock

    I could be wrong though

I *think* you have it right, with the further addition of D+ECT = performance
