Right?? LOL!! I need it to drop another 5k points. I may jump into some gold ETFs I have been eyeing up. They are sensatizing the asinine idea of negative interest rates. I would buy actual gold but I know exactly nothing about buying gold and evreyone surrounding the sale of it gives off a con artist vibe to me.

If you want to gamble a little you can try finding ugly jewelry at pawn shops, thrift, jewlery, and antique stores and have it smelted. You might get lucky finding something high karat for cheap. Only catch with the ETFs for precious metals like gold is if the prices ever really pop then you gotta time it well getting out cause the value of gold is relative to and partly affects the buying power of the dollars you spent on said ETF. Could end up making a million when a million buys a gallon of milk at most

 

Haveing actual gold wouldn't do much for me either when it's a million for a gallon of milk.

 

Feels a lot safer buying gold with fancy minting/certifications and all that but that doesn't really matter if it's sitting in ur safe for 20yrs. If its pure its pure

Yes kinda true, mexico with the peso and a few in europe and asia but none of them seem to give the slightest shit about inflation or fiscal responsibility just like the US now (the new norm everywhere i guess) so it kinda doesn't matter. China has been stockpiling it for a while, not sure what means or end but that could become a big deal
