Looking for a cap that attaches on the roof right above the rear windows. It's supposed to protect the roof when hauling items. Not a headache rack.

I've seen it here before but can't find it anymore.

It's not a headache rack. It just goes on the curve of the roof with 3m tape. It's like a tailgate cap.

YES! Thank you! I'm looking for one that is more for protection rather than looks. Do you know any reputable brands?

no idea about brands... used to add them to my friends fast station wagons back in the day. I would bet there is a thread on tacoma world about them. It will be hateful but will have links....

    Found one.

If I have to lean boards etc against the cab. I just slide a packing blanket under them against the cab before tightening the tie downs.

It's supposed to prevent scratches and dings when strapping a load down.

It’s supposed to do whatever the man wants it to do. Millions of items can be used in different ways than built specifically for.

Seems like it’s not worth it for over 200$. Try some thick 3M wrap for that that section, it’ll protect from scratches and when it’s beat to shit rip it off and apply more

If it's plastic and attaches with 3M tape, this would be a horrible way to haul or protect your cab. You have a 6ft bed, it would be much easier and more secure to go with a temporary solution such as a hitch bed extender or a bolt-on bed rack.
