Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

This thread is becoming totally useless with misinformation. People are guessing how the tune works and representing it as fact. Quit being lazy and take the time to read OV tunes posts.

 

Because of this and other BS you can't blame people for checking in every 2 weeks and not wanting to navigate hundreds of pages to figure out what is going on.

 

I'm pretty sure that happened a few thousand pages ago

 

There's no official changelog (that I've found). It's insanely confusing and takes so much time. People love proving people wrong on the internet, but with all the scattered information With updates and patches no one can prove anyone wrong, which like I say, is an Internet pastime

 

I have not been on the road much since flashing the 0B04 2.0 test. I was out a bit yesterday and noted WOT shifts at around 6000 rpm in D and D-ECT. Could someone confirm that we are back to a more stock red line? I read this every day, and I don't remember anyone commenting on that.

 

We should have a new build for 04B04 this weekend. It will be the final build

That and with all the regulations placed on manuf. to have gas mileage and emissions peformance, a quality coil is an easy place to make sure you're getting peak peformance. Hell even alot of new cars are struggling to find airflow improvement without cylinder head modification.

Sorry for the dumb question but I have had my ovtune since christmas and going to give installing it a try. I am very computer illiterate so please forgive me. How do I find out what my computer is 04A60 or 04A61? I have a 2018 trd OR 4x4 DCSB.

D + ECT - performance map
S - Gear lock
S + ECT - cures COVID-19

Is that right????

 

I think S + ECT causes it, not cures it
