What notch are you on with the 5100 while using stock coils?

I'm on the 4th with a one inch rear block and my son's truck is on the 5th with a one inch rear block. I have a slight rake and he is dead level. Side by side they are almost identical but I preferred a slight rake. Both ride identical but I say my long bed rides a little bit smoother because of the length. Both trucks are set up identical, tires, wheels, lift. IMG_20200408_135241697_HDR.jpg IMG_20200408_135229139_BURST000_COVER_TOP.jpg

Why did you go with a block in the back as opposed to AAL? and which block did you go with? I’m looking for a little lift like you have. Nothing extreme for off road just for looks really.

To update all I installed 886 on zero with 1/2” top spacers and extended studs. I’m loaded with this picture and Firestone airbags with AAL in the rear. I love the stance now

I was worried about 888 sag so I went with 886s. It is a bit firm without weight up front but I don’t mind.

I went with a standard bolt on block, coated to prevent rust and j was wanting to keep a great ride. A one inch block was all I wanted, plus I didn't want to throw off the the numbers on the driveline, so I added a front diff drop and rear carrier bearing drop. Everything worked out perfect, no issues,no vibrations, no squeeks and I also did a ECGS clam shell bushing for added insurance.

Idk, always heard a block of that size would ride better. I have never been in one with an AAL.

Aal is fine IMO. I personally didn’t want to use a block. My goal was to keep close to factory rake. I load up truck for side jobs etc. camping and what not. It’s a little stiff but I don’t mind. It’s a truck not a caddy. Stiffer in a good way. Just my 2 cents

The AAL is probably a better way to go if your carrying a load. A block is of course cheaper. Just preference I guess.

I probably will never be carrying huge loads in it but I’ve heard doin blocks over aal can cause potential issues down the road like axle wrap, etc. heard anything like that?

I think they are referring to larger blocks.

I have a few questions, and don’t want to start a new threat for it. Everyone here seems pretty knowledgeable.

I think I’m going to go with 5100s on front and rear on stock coils. I’m confused about this because I’ve read Bilstein says they’re designed to be used with stock coils but everyone says they use OME. I’d like to just use stock. Just want to use the 1.1 setting or maybe one higher than that with the 5100.

Also for the rear AAL, what’s the difference between a single leaf and the 3 pack leaf? Would this be okay to give me the 1.5 in the rear? Appreciate your help in advance!
