    It bent all right and it was a great time. Went bass fishing on the same lake a few weeks before and got no bites, figured this time I'd aim to bring something home.

    That is one of the only (might be the only?) bone in paddlefish. It is their bill-the rest of them is all cartilage. The craziest part to me is their spine is this thing called a notochord that you pull out then slice it up into steaks to clean it. If you need some entertainment look up randy newbergs video on how to clean a paddlefish and you can see them pulling out the notochord.
