You have Inchworm-marked TG adaptors and an Inchworm case that probably has Marlin gears in it.

    That.

Knowing how much of a pain in the ass it is dealing with all of that, I would happily drive 8 hours away and let someone I've already paid work on it until it's not leaking.

Those clockable setups have always been leaky POS's, im surprised they even sell them still. You have like a linear mile of surface to seal up with RTV and If you dont do it exactly right it leaks. The few members trucks who are pisisng fluid out is definately not normal. I blew the rear output seal on my tcase and it leaked less than that.

Dropping the rear case isnt a weekend project, get a trans jack and you will have it in and out in a day, the second time will be less than 4hrs. If this project intimidates you or you need a shop to do it for you, sell your truck with a crawler in it, you are in big boy mod land and it's almost guaranteed you will be dropping the setup at some point for repairs, re sealing etc. These crawler are finicky bitches that you are almost always dicking with it seems, it's best to get to know how they work like the back of your hand now.

Everything is wrapped up on the Atlas install other than getting the rear flange sorted out, the custom one still has play in it so AA is sending me a new triple drilled to see if that tightens everything up. If it does I’ll get a new flange on the drive shaft to match one of the patterns.

Shifters came out great, I’ll do a custom boot eventually, but this setup isn’t too bad for now.

Exhaust is done and I got the cat above the frame, now a fully flat belly to the gas tank.

TG never made the 360* clockable adapter as far as I know. That was a Jim at Inchworm exclusive.

I meant the trans and t-case adaptor plates. Everything between them is Inchworm/Marlin from what I understand.

Thanks, me too, haven't driven the damn thing since November, ready to :turtleride:

I dig em too, you get 3% of your purchase back as "points" to use at AA so got those billet knobs for free with my points. A nice addition over the stock plastic ones.

The rear case is not, but dropping and seperating the whole assembly is. If all that's leaking is the back adapter it wouldn't be too bad. But for someone that's never done it or doesn't have the correct tools or knowhow, could be a challenge.

And I agree on the design, had to RTV what looked like a shooting target lol

From what I've been told, that logo is the FROR/TG version.

Theres no real special tools besides a transmission jack, which you can get for like $300.

You proved my point though, one shouldn't be messing with crawl boxes if you dont have the basic know how of how a transfer case works and how to get it out of the truck. These arent setups you rely on any mechanic or shop to fix.

Low Range bought Jim and Inchworm out when he was ready to retire in AZ. Low Range made adapters of Jim’s design before Low Range was bought by TG and they elected to stop producing the clockable adapter plate and only sell the TG non-clockable adapter. The logos may be a little different but the clockable design is 100% Jim’s from Inchworm.

FROR have nothing to do with the incworm adapter. I think you meant to say LROR

TG originally had nothing to do with inchworm also. After they bought out LROR, they decided to narrow the market focus and obsolete inchworm to compete with MC.

Prior to buying inchworm, did trail gear ever even make anything for 2nd gens? Thought they just did 1st gen stuff.

this is true, other than some sockets and maybe a snap ring plier if to remove the shifter. But some folks don’t want to be bothered or might be intimidated, myself included the first time around. Once you drop that case, you’re asking for a tow or someone to come over who knows what they’re doing if you run into trouble. Joe grease monkey at pep boys sure ain’t gonna help lmao. I’ve done quite a few now and they are easy peasey, and it helps to have a buddy even with a transmission jack. When I did my clutch, I had a limo come out from underneath
