    Hi all,

I read over on toyotanation about the TSB for replacing the saggy suspension on the 05's and 06's.
Since I have an 07 I was frustrated but complained to the dealer anyway about the soft suspension on our 4x4 SR5 non-TRD Tacoma.

Anyway good news...the TSB has now been updated for the 07s so I will be getting 4 new Bilstein shocks, new rear springs, U-Bolts etc installed for free by the dealer.

Here is the original thread over on Toyota Nation

I have the PDF of the 05 06 TSB if anyone wants it to show the dealer. You are basically getting a TRD suspension for your Pre_Runner or SR5 4x4...for free. :)

I just stuck it on my web server

This is the 05 06 one but I will try to get a copy of the 05-07 from the dealer.

Great thread surf! if you can get the TSB for the 07 that would be awesome. I already have the TRD but i want the extra leaf spring they add.

    Hi,
I think the TSB only covers the 4x4 and the Pre-Runner non TRD.

Do you have 3 or 4 leaf springs on your truck?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
well if the one listed for 05-06 is for both, then the 07 should be listed for both as well. i've got an appointment monday to check my suspension out. i've had bottoming out in front and back.

I am going to talk to my dealership about this today. I have been hauling quite a bit. I don't want to come across any issues because of it.

    Thanks for the info!

You should get on it Mark.
Can't beat the price for a TRD suspension....free:eek:

Don't let the dealer play hardball. I actually saw the TSB that said this is an issue with 2005-2007 Tacomas.

What should I tell the service guy when he says, "...just don't put so much in there."?

    Funny. :)

Look at the payload limit and then tell him you truck bottoms out with half of that amount.

I would do it sooner than later since I have heard the springs and shocks are back ordered until early October.

I actually didn't have to say much. I had a copy of the 05-06 TSB and when he punched my complaint into the computer the updated TSB came up that clearly stated 2005-2007.

I guess it was updated a couple weeks ago.

the TSB for 05-06 covers TRD trucks but all that gets upgraded is an extra leaf in the back. if its the same for 07 i'd like to go in and get it

So, I have an 07 prerunner DC, non-TRD. I believe that I have heard something about the TRD trucks are not the smoothest ride for on the road. Can anyone speak up on that. I keep my truck on the road almost always. I do my fair share of heavy hauling though and I believe I would benefit from this. I have 4500 miles on her and I don't have any complaints yet. What does everyone think...should I go for it? Or should I wait a year or two?

I took my truck to the dealer too because it kept bottoming out. They ordered the new leafs for it. I have an 07 TRD 4x4. I was told that if it was not the TRD, they would also replace all shocks.

Good to know. Do they replace the whole pack or just add a 4th leaf spring?

TSB# SU06-SU07. the non trd's get 4 bilsteins, (not 5100's) (2) front coils, and (2) 4 leaf pak leaf springs for rear plus alignment. note: some peeps are saying their steering wheel is a little off after the tsb. and also the tsb states "based on the customers complaint". so the retards in service do NOT have to test drive your truck. you can get the tsb done by simply saying your truck bottoms out. or if your susp really is lame, throw some weight in the back and go to the dealer. TRD models get just the front and rear springs. ***canadian non trd's are built with the 4 leaf pak and the bilsteins i believe
