I'm hoping to close a deal on Sat in NJ. DCSB OR Black with Tech and Premium. I could not find an OR SB with LED with or without tech. The only Cements with LEDS were Sports. I almost went sport but came upon this deal.

Just an update to my original post. Ended up reaching out to another dealer I'd worked with before (I-5 Toyota) and they gave me a price of $35,161 on a TRD OR 6MT with an MSRP of $40,229. Out the door, with the $500 student rebate, it's looking like $40,220. I just offered $39k all-in, told them I'd drive down tomorrow, and am waiting to hear back. It's wishful thinking to get another grand off at this point, but I figure it's not too ridiculous where it would undermine me. Here's hoping!

Edit: Got them to $39.2k out the door. Really happy with that and not trying to sour anything over 200 bucks.

Ok my turn I guess. First Taco ever, going 2020 TRD OR AT 4x4 DCSB w/ rubber mats, sill guards, and tech package. Sticker is 40.1K and they came down to 34.8K before taxes/fees.

In northern VA but buying from DC. OTD is 38.5K.

Just closed a deal on May 5th on a 2020 trd offroad 4x4 DCSB Cement $36,688 out the door in Washington state. MSRP was $38,818, came with all weather mats and LED light... probably could’ve tried to haggle down even more but was already below what I was willing to pay so was satisfied! What do you guys think?

I just read an article on edmunds.com that states there is a record number of auto loans right now that are in negative equity or that are much higher than what the vehicle is worth.

Been shopping around for a '20 TRD OR and reading a lot on this thread. Only really started getting into negotiating with dealers yesterday. I feel like I want a better deal but from what I'm hearing that may be harder to come by with limited inventory. Thoughts on offer? Bucks County, PA

    MSRP: $40,211
    Offer price: $35,400 + taxes & title

If the MSRP was $38,818 then you got just about 14% off MSRP after rebate and before TTL. That's a great deal and in-line with other great deals that we've seen on here.

Is that offer price including the $1,750 rebate? It probably is, but I'd just make sure.

Assuming it is, that's about 12% off MSRP after the rebate. It's not a bad deal if you like the truck and don't feel like you'll be able to find another one. Another ~1k off would put you at $34.5k and would reflect 14% off MSRP which is a great deal, but not one that's impossible to get either.

I traded in my '04 Dodge Dakota last week when I picked up my new '20 SR5. The UCM seemed to like my Dakota, and I didn't play hardball on negotiating the SR5 either, so when it came time to discuss price I gave $1k over KBB as my asking price and he agreed without any questions asked.

I think I got lucky. I've heard the used car market is flooded right now.

Whats up ya’ll newbie to the Taco world. Halfway through the process of purchasing my first brand new vehicle ever being a 2020 white Tacoma OR DBSC 4x4 V6 with black/gunmetal leather trim and sunroof. Quoted around my area in Arkansas and Oklahoma for one and the Oklahoma Toyota dealership is the only one willing to do business at this point and has been so far for the week via phone.

They couldn't find what I specifically asked for and did a search to find only three candidates (white, DCSB, leather trim, sunroof, 4x4) in Texas and I selected one from Dallas. Paid a $500 security deposit to have the truck transferred up to Tulsa.

    Invoice: $42,391.80
    MSRP: $44,906.00

I was able to settle for the invoice plus $500, so it comes out to $42,891.80. They tried to charge me $399 for a Doc fee (scam), and $389 for tint/nitrogen tires (scam). Told the dealer they can take off the Doc fee and the tint already came with the vehicle so Im not being double charged and I told them to go ahead and switch out the nitrogen filled tires to free air. They came back saying they’ll agree to waive both. Talked to the finance guy and I added GAP insurance for $895. Sales tax in Arkansas is 6.5% so it'll be $2,800.00 added to the pricing.

    The truck comes with:
    -TRD OR premium package
    -tech package
    -cargo bed lights
    -premium carpet mat set
    -power tailgate lock
    -predator tube steps
    -tinted windows

Told them I don't want the vehicle protection package or any of the warranties on the truck (Toyota already offers bumper to bumper, powertrain coverage). As long as the vehicle drives to my liking when I test drive it and they don't try to fidget the numbers or try to add any other price add ons, I will most likely settle for the price of $46,586.80 excluding registration, with 0% APR 60 months. I’ll be going to the dealer in two weeks to test drive, sign papers.

I don't know how some of y'all are able to haggle down to to the 30k range. Am I missing something? Is the invoice too high? Could I have come down further than the invoice? What do yall think about this price? Let me know. Nevertheless, I’m super stoked to potentially own my first truck with a Tacoma! Thank you all for your time and please excuse me for the long rant.

Yes, that's including the rebate (sorry for not clarifying). Well, I've found about 3 or 4 other trucks in a 20 mile radius that are identical except one or two dont have the tech packag . Everything is small little manufacturer add ons that I don't care about. So it sounds like I should say "thanks" but pass and wait on a better deal?

I am trading in. When I put down a deposit for my new truck about 3-4 weeks ago, the Kelly blue book private party very good 2016 Tacoma SR5 4 x 4 value was $26,500. It is now $25,300. Used vehicles are losing quite a bit of value. I shoot for private party value when trading in.

In many cases it’s a large part of the equation that we don’t really get a lot of data about on this thread. In my situation I got $27,000 for my trade but only 8% off the MSRP. I feel that in the end it all came out in the wash so I was OK with it
