Airbag light and Passenger seatbelt light stay on

    Hey, so yesterday, I noticed that my airbag light on the dash and passenger seatbelt light stays on now. The passenger seatbelt light will begin to flash while driving even when the belt is buckled in.
    As a side note, I did have a rather large friend in the seat when I noticed this problem.
    I’ve tried disconnecting the battery and the sensors under the seat.

    This is very interesting as this is exactly what happened to me when I swapped the seats in my truck. Passenger seat light would flash, but wouldn't sound. Passenger airbag wouldn't turn on, and airbag light on dash was illuminated.
    I solved the issue by purchasing a USB obd reader and installed OBD link on my phone and purchased the software for my 2013 taco ($10). Then was able to read and clear SRS codes. After that problem solved

    I really figured it was just a code that won’t clear out. I’ll look into the obd reader

    Yea you have to access the air bag system and occupant detection system.
    Then a procedure with calibrated weights to zero out the sensors

    Guessing is not an option

    I've tried reading my codes with some fancy ass scanner that does srs and it says failed to link. I have all the same lights on as yall

    Ok so I got the scanner in today. I’m looking at obdwiz and see no where to clear srs codes. Some step by step would be nice

    Yea I downloaded the more advanced stuff and it says I need a scanner for ELM325 v2.0 or something like that. I’ve seen that Walmart has one online but it’s v1.5 so I don’t think that will work at all..there is also several Bluetooth ones on Amazon as well for around $20
