Well...it started as an alignment. Which led to new steering boot and inner tie rod. Which went to outer tie rod. Which led to replacing a CV boot. Which led to wheel bearings. Which led to a new caliper. Which led to changing the brake fluid. Which led to saying f'it, in for a penny in for a pound, so I did the opposite side (except boots and caliper.) Which then led to new pads and rotors on all four corners. Finally it led to removing all skid plates so I can get a transmission and transfer case fluid change. Truck is almost at 200K miles so it was all needed at some point anyway.

I'm hoping install of these doesn't play out the same.

Right now I have the money for new tires, which I know I will need by June, but I also know that I need to replace my frozen cam bolts to get the alignment which will most likely mean replacing the bushing in my LCA's which these would help alleviate problems in the future with frozen cam bolts due to the grease-able zerk fittings not to mention needing to replace my BJ's in about six months.

    Part of me is like:

But the other half of me is saying:

You need greasable cams, or antiseize new ones. The grease zerts on the arms is for the bushings. I don't see how it would get into the bushing collar.

Agreed with greasing the new ones. I will only use OEM ones due to the ongoing problems with the aftermarket grease-able ones failing after about a year. I understand about the zerks for the bushings. The aspect if what I said was more about the cams being frozen to the point of needing new bushings in the OEM LCA's which replacing those bushings are a huge PITA.

You don't want greasable cams. That would allow them to slip after tightening them. Just give them a thin coat of anti seize and install. You dont want too much anti seize either brace it can slip that way also.

That's what I did, kept OEM cams and just a light coating on the cam bolt, over 50K on OEM bolts now.

To be quite honest, these weren’t in my plan to buy, but since I got bigger tires, I couldn’t get an alignment because the bushings were bad, and since it was either replace the bushings or go after market, I couldn’t pass up this great deal! ‍♂️
