Only thing I remember about clearing values is back when 1.04 and 1.05 we’re going through growing pains Mat said that the flash process automatically clears and resets the values and only a handful of people were having problems where the flash process was not doing that. Since then he’s said it’s not a bad idea to just do it yourself to be sure that it works

I would assume its because of the amount of changes made. Along with not wanting to respond to tickets telling people to reset values for minor bugs

Not to put words in Mat's mouth, but I think when he was suggesting that it wasn't necessary to clear LVs was in regards to people just switching back and forth between tunes for personal preferences and trying different things out. When he was sending out the 04B04 2.0 Final file for testing, he wanted LVs cleared so that people were starting with a clean slate before starting to give feedback on the tune.

I just hope 2.0 final has tunes for the dump tube. This CEL is bothering me!

FWIW I have the catless tubes and am on 2.0 final for the M/T and I have the CEL. The previous file for the catless tubes did not throw the CEL,Mat said he was going to look into it before all hell broke loose and hasn't got back to it.

2.0 final 04B13, like I said the original tune for the catless tubes did not throw a CEL this 2.0 final that is for "dump tubes" does. It must be a small change between the dedicated catless file of the original and the 2.0 final that is for all dump tubes.

No, because he would be in violation of federal law.
