yeah it's not a part of the 02 sensor itself, doesn't come with the new sensors. It's just a tiny little "skid plate" or guard that Toyota puts on them from factory.

They're a pain to get off though because the nuts that hold them on are behind them and you have to blindly work them loose, easier to just take an angle grinder and cut them off.

I cut mine 3/4 of the way so I could bend it down and then bent it back up into place, most people just take them off though

More progress was made on the swing out. Fabricated mounts for my two 5 pound propane tanks.

tried doing the chalk test today, dont think i was on SUPER flat ground, but was still lacking contact from the very outside edge of tire. i tested them at ~28psi all around too and i dont think im comfortable running them any lower. 285/75/16 E rated nitto ridge grapplers, does anyone else run this low for the streets?

Made a little more progress on my fuse block. By the time I was done working I really didn’t have enough light outside to do wiring. 41748376-9A9B-4424-9C65-3D8501765DF1.jpg

Made it halfway through the front driveline lengthening. But I didn't like the fit.

Addressed some issues from rallying the truck with 100 lbs of batteries in the stock location. They'll be getting relocated soon.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
I’ll likely figure out length needed and reach out to sos, I’m sure they’d be more than willing to make the same parts and only change one thing to make it all work on tacos because hey, more possible sales.

@mechanicjon has the kit too. Guess we’ll se who gets theirs done first

Tired of looking like a homeless dog with mange, took the sander to the truck and then gave her the rattle can primer face lift. Doors are next.

I've run into issues putting that same switch in that location. Sometimes the switch will drop in to far causing it to limit the switch throw and not work. If you have the same problem do this. The rocker part of the switch pops off easily with a screwdriver. Then file off the red part in the diagram, that will give you more throw in the switch.

Have you done the rear frame plates on your truck? That's a lot of weight to hang out there.

I found my speedometer reads about 5% too fast with my smaller diameter tires I am currently running.

So today - I pulled out my speed sensor gear and found a 30 tooth from the factory, and ordered up a 31 tooth hoping to get it within 1-2% of actual speed.

    upload_2020-5-14_23-23-3.jpg

This should help me from hitting the 108 mph speed governor a bit prematurely too!

Leaked a bit of dirty looking tranny fluid in the process, so I also ordered up some Red Line MT90 GL-4 to flush and fill while I install the new speedo gear. Hoping for smoother shifts from my W-59 and maybe a bit quieter on the sounds coming from the tunnel.

This forum says it should be smooth as butter and feel like a whole new tranny, cant wait to see for myself!

Yes, I’m running about 30 in my 295/75/16 load D. I have ran as low as 25 and 28 on my old set of trail grapplers, the problem I found running that low was that the tires developed flat spots if left to air for too long. After a mile or two it cleared up.
