How many have somehow de-chromed the seat belt latch thing?

I've read multi threads where y'all have to remove all chrome from the interior. I'm guessing the light reflecting off it makes you insane or something. I remember one thread about someone not being able to stand the little silver lock on the glove box.

Surely this huge massive piece of chrome, has made a few either sell their truck, cut the seat belts out, or have lost their minds.

Now wondering how many have rushed out to their trucks, because they never noticed it before.

I wonder if you could apply a sandblasted-type effect to make it matte instead of shiny...

There are people out there who'll pay $26 for a cover for the power mirror switch (cough...me), so I'm sure someone out there has the gumption to do something about the latch.

That said, at least for me, my beef is with plastic masquerading as chrome. I'm ok with actual metal parts looking like metal so complaining about the glove box key, seat belt latches, etc is taking it too far.

 

Are you referring to the buckle? That’s supposed to inserted into the latch while driving. Problem solved.

 

I don't like the interior chrome because at certain times of the day the sun reflects it right into my eyes. It's not all the time, and I've definitely been in vehicles that are much worse than the Tacoma, but it is quite annoying.

Factory puts enough chrome on them for me. I can honestly say I've never put anything on my bikes to add chrome, and I've owned a lot of bikes.

When I wanted saddlebag guards I bought black, their not so noticeable, and looks cleaner IMHO.
