Oh yeah! U-pull-it was like heaven.
The best ratchet ever was made by Crafstman in the 80’s IMO. Speed knob built in, super fine teeth. Sometimes you need a snap-on flex head but these are what I usually grab.

Fuck Yeah! That’s how a man’s work area is supposed to look. No time for organizing when there’s work to be done. As long as you know where shit is when you need it, it’s all good.

    Yes. I am.

TL/DR: I let out 3 years of frustration, got heated when they did, didnt back down to their immature, inexperienced tactics and called them out for their irresponsibility to all employees here, including me.

I got pulled in to a famous "4pm meeting" with the entire "Executive Committee".

They questioned my CRM data and call reports over the last 5-6 weeks, wondering why I didnt have much on there. I politely reminded them that the entire state was shut down, people were "wfh" and not meeting with anyone, let alone an outside sales rep. They agreed, and then said that I could have come in and painted the building, scrubbed floors and bathrooms, repainted my office, maintenance work on the building and such.

I then politely (not really) told them that working remotely or working from home was agreed upon before I took the job, but was quickly negated by management tactics, of which I was taking advantage of during the quarantine. Coming in to paint, scrub, fix your dilapidated facilities was not only NOT in my job description, but also added to yet another task that I would be highly underpaid for, as that stuff wouldnt lead to more commissions. I then let them know that if they did the simplest market research, that my salary was short about $7500 a year, for an ENTRY level sales rep in this state, in this industry. Of which, I was willing to agree to based on the fact that I was hired to take over as a GM in three years. Since that position has been "reduced" because of greed, I am not willing to take on even more responsibility without an earnest chat about salary increase.

I also explained to them that coming in to paint and maintain did little in the way of quarantining, considering we had an employee with Covid-19 in the building at the very beginning. She has since recovered, but it just shows how easily this spreads. With my wifes asthma and my mother in law living across the driveway, I wasnt comfortable coming in every day, potentially increasing my exposure.

I've officially started applying heavily to jobs within a 50 mile radius. I've even downloaded the tests for the USPS.

    Emailing a headhunter today.

I'm not long for this position, of which they dont realize. Another consideration they haven't taken is that I am the only employee who understands how to handle my main customer and all of the quality stuff that goes along with being an automotive supplier. So when I'm gone, that's it. They wont have anyone to take care of it.

    Hey T. :fistbump:

    I'm okay.
Hope you are as well. :fingerscrossed:

Looks like we have a pretty serious revolt going on in PA.
A bunch of counties are saying fuck you, we're re-opening and the Guv is saying oh no you don't, I'll revoke all your business licenses.

    Time for a rant?

I usually get my tobacco and roll-your-own cigarette tubes at Puff 'n' Snuff.
I happen to know the owner.
He's been on lockdown for...how long has it been?
No income and bills are mounting up.

Meanwhile, a Head Shop has been open throughout.
They sell bongs and hookahs, etc, and, by the way, tobacco supplies too.
The difference is they have a cooler with sodas and one aisle of chips and munchies junk.
    So they're "essential". o_O

    That pisses me off.

It pisses me off that my friend is hurting.
It pisses me off that the Guv is threatening all and sundry.
It pisses me off that I gotta buy from the Pakis...whom I dislike.
They follow you around like you're gonna steal something.

I was just reading where the DA in Monroe County, which is the Poconos, is not going to enforce any of the lockdown orders. Also notified magistrates and police chiefs to notify DA’s office when any citations are filed.

They are good for some laughs. When they go behind you, turn around and walk backwards. Trip and knock over a rack for comedic effect.

Preface: Not sure how long the poll has been up, so if this is an outdated post, deal with it.

I typically purchase DeWalt drills, power tools. I'd like to switch over to Milwaukee, but I already have the stuff I need and dammit, the batteries are interchangeable.

I use Harbor Freight for shit like impact sockets or ratchet straps and bungies.

Craftsman was gifted to me as I made my way through the right of passage when acquiring my short and curlies in the unmentionable areas. So, I've just kept em.

I dont necessarily use these tools enough to ever really need to replace them with better.

I would like to get some power saws, though. Jigsaw, circular and sawz-all. Probably in DeWalt, with matching batteries....dammit.

When I'm followed.....I do one of two things.

    1. I stop, stare, silently. Making frequent eye contact as I slowly pick up different items and place them back on the shelf. Make it super weird. Usually I'll hold eye contact for as long as they can.

    2. Pick up the most random thing and start asking as many questions about it as possible. Personal preferences, where its made, why it costs so much, if they know anyone that uses the product, and reviews, how much they sell a week/month/year, etc. Then, pick up the product right next to it and start all over again.

Sometimes I cant keep a straight face. But I try to act like that guy on the video checking out a car that keeps saying "Do you believe it?"

Keeping a straight face is the hardest part, especially when they get that confused look on their face. That’s the time to take it to a whole new level but usually, the look on their face is an acceptable reward.
