Is there something I’m missing here? I thought there was supposed to be something behind that cap for the fog light to mount to. All I see is one flimsy screw hole on the the top right.

Will the 2 eyelets on the left slide in those slots?

Just did mine on a 2020 and the only thing holding it is the one screw after the eyelets slide in the slots on the opposite site.

Yep - just one screw! It mounts from behind. The left 2 ear fit into slots and the screw goes thru the light then into the bumper from behind.

Yap, what he said. Mount from behind. Go in through the top.

I got the fogs mounted- thanks for the help. I found this empty plug behind the bottom of the front grill. What’s it for?

I've got this same plug - I'm curious. I've got fog lights but I haven't gotten around to installing them yet - still gathering supplies and trying to figure out which method I'm going for.

My 2c...when you do get around to doing the fogs, operate from the hood. I've gone through a couple fog light installs and have found that it's way easier to do it from the "top down" approach rather than pulling out the wheel well covers like a lot of YouTube tutorials recommend.

Get the real toyota harness that plugs into it. Pop the relay in the panel and your good.

Is it really that easy? That fog light mod looked super complicated and even the wiring diagram I got with my fogs looks questionable

If the plug for the harness is there chances are wiring in the column is there. Pop in the cable (5 mins), relay (1 min) and stalk (30 min). Mount lights. Done. Easy. Nothing to it. Nitori was not prewired. I believe you are with the plug up front. Ones I’ve seen with plug up front are.
Hardest part is deciding what better than factory fogs you want.
Fogs you get might require reversing polarity at the light but they give you the tool to swap pins in their plug.
Then pat yourself on the back knowing how much Toy would have charged for factory.

Yeah it's super easy. Especially if you add a switch on the dash rather than replacing the light stalk.

True. The cruise stalk is easier than the fog stalk.
    Fog stalk takes more time.

I have the plug but I am not prewired.

edit - unless I'm misreading the nitori thread.

Prewired refers to the option of using an OEM switch on the light stalk to operate the fogs, I believe all tacomas have the plug by the grille for the factory harness to plug into.

Are you looking for the wire going into the column ?

Yeah mine looks like the "not prewired" example from nitori's thread. I wasn't looking forward to taking the steering wheel off, so thats alright with me. I'll just use a switch.
