    Yes Mauna Kea is a dormant volcano (13,803ft) and the one in the background is Mauna Loa (13,678ft) which is still active. These pictures are pretty tame there are some other shots that I need to dig out that make it look like you're on the moon!

    Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
    Be sure to check out cogburn and big silver creeks east side of Harrison lake. They are past the 5 mile bay spot. Watch out where you park, make sure far off side of road. On one of our fishing up there, my buddies first gen tacoma had the drivers side of the truck almost torn right off. Logging company agreed to pay for the damage, required 2 new quarter panels and a new driver door. Those creeks are beautiful, one of my favorite spots for river fishing in BC. Both have a huge pool at river head where a narrow gap in the canyon wall funnels the water into the big pools. Risky rapids below those pools, don't get swept away. Requires quite a bit of steep hiking to bet to the one at Cogburn. Water now will be a muddy stormy mess with the spring snow melt, which is very risky, you can get washed away. Best and safest time to get clear and lower water and is in July and later. Also watch the hairpin corners on the logging road, can get some yahoos going too fast in their trucks and dirt bikes. Saw a dirt bike run head on into a 4x4 up there. So avoid weekends.

    Thanks so much man, ill definitely check them out. I have never been past 5 mile bay. I just wish i had more time off...one week i work 6 days, next i work 5 days. Especially now with this corona crap, we are super busy as we provide essential service. I took a week off in june so im sure ill go explore again then. Thanks again!
    :cheers:

    Yeah this is probably the most remote you can get on the island... drive for 7 hours and do 37 miles and not see anyone else. At one point we may as well have been on the moon!

    REALLY like the white with black. I debated the white because I thought it would always look dirty, but my silver is always dirty anyway. That looks really good man.

    @Brofessor
    What size are those Patagonias? They look wider than 285s, but that may be your wheels. I have a set of 285s in my garage I'm debating on what to do with. How do you like them?
