    Yep

A 10lb dry chem extinguisher will fit in the rear seat storage compartment.

I started making one and gave up real fast and ordered some smittybuilt can holders. They bolt together to make a single solid unit, I still need to find a good way to bolt them down to the bed though.

Are you using Quick Fists to mount the tools as well? I remember seeing a thread on mounting tools to the rails when I had my old Tacoma a few years back.

The fire extinguisher that @rnish posted will straight up fit into your cupholder. I stash mine in the back seat cupholder and it fits perfect.

I'm thinking about something like that bolted/welded to flat piece of 1/8" bent into an L and then the back part of the plate can mount into the track. The bottom of the plate can sit in the bed unbolted. Then they can be moved as a unit. Could probably go a little lighter than 1/8" even. That's my thought anyway.

Yup - it was a hasty build using some L-Brackets and scrap I had laying around. It's ugly, but solid. My only requirement was being able to tie-it into the bed bolt, which wasn't too difficult. Here are some pics as it was being built:

Yessir! That was actually my write-up how to build the different DIY bed-rail mounts (Hi-Lift Mount, Tool Mounts, and T-Mount). Since doing that DIY write-up there have been many reputable companies producing much better (but very similar) versions.

You can learn or get inspired to build your own mounts here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-hi-lift-and-tool-mounts.260147

Hey guys I see some of you are trying to figure out how to mount those jerry cans. Have you guys ever seen the "TacoJerry"? I'll attach a pic here. They are pretty sweet and keep the jerry can from sliding around in the bed.

First thought, looks like a toy, NO thanks.
Second thought, I am getting that set up!!

I already have the fat tank white fire extinguisher and with Quick fists (see above), it's just too much space in the foot well. I already have the Molle racks, so just need an extra clip. Will just put the white one in the house or shop, no biggie

    Thanks!

The element 50 is so small I mounted a second on the passenger side front seat.
