Alabama Mountain Biking Thread

They said they text a pic when its built up. I got ahold of them wed. about Noels bike. I talked to them about it. They shouldnt forget.

 

I just know my bike shop it took 4 attempts to get the helmet I wanted, and I still ended up with gray instead of black lol. This was all because they were swamped.

1st attempt was when I got my bike they said the black helmet would be in on the next shipment.
2nd attempt was when the shipment came and it didn't have that color
3rd attempt was when I went in a couple weeks later and she said they'd call me when it came in and a black one would be on the shipment
4th attempt was the week after that after 2 more shipments had come in, no call, and they still didn't have a black one so I bought a gray.

they posted something the other day they're up like over 100% on bike servicing during covid so I know they are just slammed.

Nah nah actual damage to the frame or components. It’s gonna get scratched up, and I don’t believe Matt will be doing anything insane since this is his first real ride back.

edit: if you don’t feel comfortable or want a bike you can thrash I suggest the ole gt

Super cool of you to offer, but i think i can more easily afford to fix Scottys GT than the BD. As cool as that would be, id feel terrible if something happened to the frame as i wouldnt be able to replace that quickly. I can replace Scotty's GT pretty quick if i tear it up lol.

I wouldnt mind riding the stumpy a bit just to feel out its drivetrain. Dont even have to be on a trail just around the parking lot would be cool.

And if it feels comfy ill see what i can do with it. Still want to hit the bmx track.
