Hey you're good people! I'm the FNG around here.... but I know a lot of same people as you in Media/Art world... I'm on the engineering side of the world though - I just make it work not pretty.

I best buds were on the tech side. I would roll down into engineering with a load of bagels/donuts and talk shop.
The guys down there appreciated the hell out of it, as I appreciated them keeping our SANs working

Yeah a lift makes the difference if you got a long day or are lifting armor in place to bolt on.

Hells Yeah! New brakes and a new ride will be nice!

Was waiting on that. Priorities you know.

Probably the only Pro owner or new truck owner that has only washed their truck twice lol

As you can see in the pic I left the cross bar goin over the panel. I am going to take it off and see the difference in amps I get.
But then again, that’s why two panels are going up there ;)

I’ve read up on some of the threads seems like average general consensus on fav AAL for my application(towing and camper shell not off-roading) is the wheelers 1.5 prog overload replacement as I care only really about ride quality being the best possible but still being able to tow and have a camper shell. Any wisdom from locals to share before I order? I’m throwing oem 3rd gen 4x4 take offs front and rear on to replace my 160k stock sport set up. I also don’t think I need shock extenders in the back as I’m not going to that high/go off-road to worry about travel? As you can tell don’t know shit first time doing this, it’s my daily driver not my weekend off-road rig(I still buy a lottery ticket every now and then )

Sounds about right. So I carry a lot of weight in the bed. I decided to leave my overload leaf in when I installed my AAL.

@iK0NiK sold me my set. It helped out big time as I didn’t want to lift it per day, just gets one life back out of my flat ass leafs.
West did not keep his overload leaf in, and I bet his rides a bit more plush in the rear. He would have to chime in.

I also pull a trailer which is why I left the overload in.

Thanks. you mean he sold you your set of what sorry? Stock leafs ?I was thinking that too haven’t come across any decent take offs yet.

How much in your bed and how much trailer weigh? Curious about how mine will ride with that much weight my little landscape trailer full of crap or my little boat aren’t enough to even notice with or without atv in bed.

From my understanding if I can get away without overload in will ride better but hard for me to know if the few times I might tow and need it?

Trying to be smart and stay under reasonable loads, my 06 ain’t a spring chicken but it has been well cared for.

I am trying to justify/afford/plan to buy and haul a small camper(3k lbs ish?). I love to just tent camp but small child means I could get out more with something with more creature comforts.

anyone have a favorite trailer brake controller? Mine came factory tow but no controller.

If you pull a trailer leave it in, especially if you have the topper and some gear.
You would probably never feel the difference to be honest without a load, but with one you will.
In regards to Brake Controller I use a Red Arc Tow Pro Elite.
Other companies make similar.A good one will cost you $200ish. CURT makes a similar one that gets good reviews too.

Thanks I’ll start looking at how to leave it in. Cool on the brake controller I’d rather just pay for a reliable decent one and be done with it. Online reviews seem like bullshit mostly hard to know what to trust.

    Same crap everyone else got
I have a 1.5in single add a leaf in my rear with my overload. Works well with my shell on. When I took my shell off it was a rougher of a ride in the rear. Hitting stuff like speed bumps wasn't as smooth if that makes sense. If you plan to keep your shell on all the time, I'd suggest to keep the overload. It will ride just fine.

    Installed these Seat Risers.

The back of my legs were killing me from the lack of leg support from the factory position.
Even has a little Rail attachment, because there is no end in site to this madness ;)
