That is sharp, and looks very professional. I wish I had welding skills! Please include more pics when you get it mounted.

I used to run those pressures, but increased a little since then for mpg sake. At about 29 psi or so IIRC.

I don't think too many people run E rated tires that low because of the mpg drop off when you get that low.

I run mine at 35 on the street. 28 would probably feel a lot better over speed bumps but don't want the mpg hit.

Yea for me 35 feels just way too rough in the cab. You feel every little thing in the road and it's pretty jarring in general. Don't know if that's largely cause I've replaced most all bushings with poly, but it definitely doesn't help.
I still get about 16-17 highway if I stay below 75mph with that pressure.

yeah i think 32 will be a good compromise for me. in terms of even tread wear i thought i needed to drop them but now thinking about i feel like alignment and consistent rotations will have a greater effect

Yea I originally had the same mentality of wanting to get the max life and wear out of my tires by having a completely even tread contact patch with the ground, but to do that I would have needed to run too low of pressures (I found this to be case with E rated tires. I had C rated ones before and that was a different story).
I agree that ultimately rotations and alignment will be best for tire lifetime. And in the end, it's just personal preference on what you're comfortable running too

So those are the load range C?

    What's the sidwall ply rating?

I'm looking at a set of those in 285/75r17. Nice to see something other than load range Es.

What do you mean sidewall ply rating? They are c-range 6-ply.

That's the tread. Right next to it/below it should be sidewalls plys. 2 or 3 plys?

Plasti-dipped the badges and fender flares. Flares came out perfect; badges have a few tiny scratches from the toothpick from peeling the dip off - so ordered some overlay's for those. Anyone know if there's something I can put on the flares so the dip is less likely to scratch? I'm wondering if a ceramic wax would help?

Tore apart a 3rz just to see what's inside of it. Bottom end looks good. Cylinders need to be honed. Not 100%sure if the head has micro fractures or if it's the valves that are off.
