So I finally got my new filter installed but I am a little worried. After installing the filter I noticed it did not fit as tight as stock filter and wiggled back and forth. Is this normal?

how much wiggle? like vibrate cause remember when you close up that up it pinches the rubber part in there. thats how it creates a seal. Actually i remember the TRD one i had was like that, it wiggled a little but then it was firm when you shut the airbox

I don't know about the 4.0, I have the 2.7 but it isn't alot of wiggle, I just notice it every time I'm putting the filter back in. I didn't think about the top off the airbox pinching the rubber to create the seal, I guess it's fine...idk

As long as the rubber contacts both halves of the airbox, everything is sealed, and it will be fine. As for my AFE drop-in, I have no "wiggles" at all.

) Mine wiggles back and forth like it is slightly under-shaped. I guess it will be fine though, as long as rubber seals up. By the way this thing is awesome I can definately tell a difference upon acceleration and the engine sounds happier/better
