I appreciate the write up. I've added a few electrical items to my truck, i.e. a plow and a few others. I've gotten to the point where things (wires) need consolidated and cleaned up. I will definitely be using this, thank you.

Does Bamatoy still sell these or was there some drama that happened with him?

I have the big welding cable to do this but not the shorter (+) that goes into the fuse box. Is that wire 4 gauge or 8 gauge?

Are you coming off a distribution block? Then cut and reuse the stock wiring to go from distribution block to fuse block. Otherwise you just reuse the whole piece into you fuse block straight from the alternator.

I am looking to do the same thing as OP. It looks like the cabling used is 1/0 but for the smaller lead that goes into the fuse box. What is the gauge of that wire? I want to replace, not reuse. It looks like a tight fit so I don't want to setup a harness with wire that don't fit.

I will have to let him chime in then. The original is 4 gauge but the 90 degree lug is the key.

Was this a kit you bought? Thinking about doing this in my 4runner and haven't found any kits anywhere. Thanks!

OP got a kit from a former member. I think we are on our own for putting one together now.

If you can figure the lengths of the wire there are websites that will sell pre-made/crimped wires, otherwise order more than enough wire and high quality wire ends and go at it.

HF carries a pretty good hand pump hydraulic crimper for cables but it's $60 without a coupon.

I've used one probably a hundred times over 10 years or so, no issues.

Also have a great experience with HF’s hydraulic crimper, no leaks in 2 years, a very neat crimp.

Geesh! No need to yell... I should add that I modified a couple of the small anvils to have capacity for larger than AWG 0.

X2, great crimper and much better than a hammer crimp, more controlled and versatile.
