    First bowl out of walnut. I gave it to my mom for mums day. Thought I snapped a finished pic but I didn't. The last one is a frame out of salted maple and walnut dowels and ply wood. The writing is the neighbors son who passed. My gf scanned it and etched the writing into the walnut ply with the glowforge.

    Not good. I have been fortunate and only had minor injuries. Had a kick back on a table saw that caught right above the manhood. Left a hellova bruise and a lump. Also cut my thumb to the white meat but no stitches. Shot myself with a framing nailer when it went through the stud and into the end of my right ring finger(of course this had to happen when I was on top of a 12 foot ladder). But I’ve been lucky. Luck runs out in a wood shop really quick. Watch yourself.

    A guy in the gun club I belonged to back in NM took off all 4 fingers on one hand at an angle with a radial arm saw. :eek: :eek: :eek:

    I had the same thing happen to me.

    It's not hard, the first step is always to get them off the floor, so you can usually follow the trail of blood.

    Then you go back through with 12.5% sodium hypochlorite and clean the human blood while they're getting treated.

    I was attempting to make a hand plane holder for my French cleat wall. I was cutting some strips on an already thin strip (first mistake) and it was to small for my push stick and didn't have a pencil or something near by (second mistake) and when I was running it through the strip cought the blade weird and kicked back and when it shot out of the place my finger that was guiding it continued to go forward into the blade. It all happened so fast. Basically complacency killed my finger tip. Hard lesson learned and I'm really kicking myself for it.
