Definitely stay out of mines in that area for awhile to avoid getting slabbed, I was doing mine surveys in the San Bernardino Mtns the summer the Big Bear quakes hit and there were fresh rockfalls in all the ones we revisited, even a couple months after the aftershocks stopped.

 

That's a good idea. I get a little spooked when I enter a mine, and then I wonder if there's gonna be an earthquake while I'm in it...

Welp, Mr. @JaCado was right. The quake loosened up a bit of gold! I scrounged these little fellas this morning. Combined weight of one gram.

 

Better than 0 grams

 

Yes it is! I have had many zero gram days...

 

You sure the quake didnt rattle some fillings out

Replying just so I can easily find this later because I’ll have some more questions! I can’t remember what Whites I bought but I’ve had it for at least 10 years. I bought it because I live in a real old house built in 1880’s. I was gonna have a big steel building erected and my driveway dug deeper into soil. Wanted to look before covering it up with building or hauling away dirt. Found one quarter from the 40’s... gave it to friend that came over to assist me with his older Whites. I found lots of coins in yard but they I’m sure were all mine. I had a bad habit of carrying a ton of keys back then so I had holes in pockets. I’ve found more coins and old ones just digging in yard. I put large PVC pipes in ground so gutter water wouldn’t be next to house. found some Indian Head 1800’s coins. Sadly the soil must be real acidic they aren’t worth anything but copper value. Found a 1910 Canadian silver dime while digging up an old fence post concrete ball. Nothing so far of value with detector.
