No worries. That's a good problem to have during these times.

Any room to notch your bumper mounts and minimize the gap? Just gonna live with it, eventually modify the brackets to get a closer fit. For now I just want my truck back. It's been almost 3months since I started all this overdue maintenance and mod installs. And I'm starting to use my Lexus like a truck. :bananadead:

Probably could modify the brackets. It’s a cbi bumper. Haven’t really looked.

Lol. Me too. At least it’s good for for several years (if I read it correctly).

Did you mean to quote me? Yeah that's where the FJ case sits, and that hole is were I want the shifter to enter the cab about 2-3/4" right and 4-1/8" back from the actual hole at the tcase. it conveniently wants to come up right between Park and the left side cup holder of the center console.

The dog leg linkage needs to be under the cab not in the cab to work in the spot I've planned for. Everyone seems to just go with twin sticks, now I see why.

I went from a twin stick to a j shift pattern. One reason is with the crawl box, there is no need for 2lo with just the rear tcase. I can have it with the crawl box.
Second reason is my tcase has a blow out with some of the mounting bolts and rtv. So leaking gear oil all the time wasn’t fun so when I got a new tcase, I did t feel like tearing the case apart to twin stick it.

What’s your plan for Hubs? Last time I looked at the manual hub conversion thread it was a shit show.

Yeah. Back in 2012/2013 I have pulled those damn boxes more times than I can remember.

the electrical portion is another story. I followed a thread when rocksolidtoys.com had a forum but all that info is gone. It’s easy to do just don’t think it’s documented anywhere.

Yeah fuck that guy. Doubled his price, claims to stand behind his product but won't meet a local customer with fitment/potential machining issues. That thread turned into a dumpster fire. My plan is to wear this front end out one more time and start stockpiling SAS parts and once I have an axle built, then it's time to say bye bye to IFS.

I was wondering what happened. One week I was brushing up on the process and then one day no where to be found. enough people have done it now, there's pretty much the same info to be found here, or other forums. I slid the front diff add collar and shift fork over to be engaged full time. Then sealed the box and plug.

Yeah. I guess to clarify the info is there, it's just not all in one spot like it was at RST. You have to go to multiple forums and/or threads.

Yeah. I want to say @6 gearT444E has a diagram of the add switch written down or at least did at one time.

Not so much the switch since I just engaged the collar and shift fork full time. I'm actually more needing info on 4hi/lol lights working, and I'm pretty sure I'll need to do the locker anytime mod to use it. Basically avoid ant potential issues with lights on the dash or that damn beeping that starts if you tried to go straight to 4l with the tcase and the add hadn't fully engaged yet. I swapped the sensors from my old case into afaik the corresponding locations on the t4r case and plugged the other one. So I think those lights should work?

    I used a case from a 2012 t4r vs the FJ, but same/same.

Edit: I think I just found the info I'm looking for right here... :anonymous:
