    not enough.
I have the 8 and I love the stabilization. It is absolutely amazing. HOWEVER, I have one gripe about it...it's TOO stabilized. It's hard to tell when you hit the jumps and land sometimes. I haven't run with the GoPro a lot mostly because I'm having too much fun to worry about a camera...and I don't want to be that guy on the trails. But I'll have to pull it out and revisit the stabilization on it. As for battery life, it's pretty good for some runs. If you're doing epics, you're gonna want an extra battery and a charging setup in your backpack.

But that said, I've been on the GoPro train since the 3. Owned 3, 4, 5, and 6. skipped 7. went with 8. It's amazing what the picture quality is like on these small cameras compared to the old days. and the stabilization is unreal for sure. You'll love it.

Just got a 1up rack today. Absolutely love it so far. Will make me feel a lot better with the bike in tow on bumpy roads.

only thing I am trying to figure out is how to get away with not having to take it on/off each time I ride. It is perfect in the folded up position...but it blocks my license plate pretty much entirely. Anyone have a work around for this or will this not be a big deal to SC police.

    thanks!

That’s why I like it. Joking aside. I usually leave mine folded down, so I can always drop the tailgate without fear of messing it up. It’s rarely on the truck, most of the time it’s on the T4R.

AWESOME! I don't know of many people who complain about getting tickets about their bike racks covering their license plates.

if you're super worried about it. get the plate holder. https://www.1up-usa.com/product/license-plate-holder-2/

Ride it til you get in trouble. I know it’s different from place to place but my Thule blocks my license plate and I haven’t had issues yet. Knock on wood

So I just found out that they opened a margarita stand not far from the bottom of one of my favorite rides. Thunder Mountain + Margaritas? Yes please!

I was actually looking at that. Just can’t seem to find a way in South Carolina to get a duplicate plate! Would hate to have to swap the plate back and forth but it is what it is.

I’m not extremely worried, but man it really does block the plate entirely unless you’re right up on it.

as long as the ticket doesn’t have points I guess it’s not the end of the world

Congrats! They’re great racks, I know I love mine.

Sadly I seldom get to ride multiple consecutive days, so I generally only have mine mounted when I’m loaded for a ride. When I do leave it on, I roll around with it folded up with zero fuks.

My disposition will likely change if I get a ticket, but I’ve received no indication that the LLO are concerned. I typically don’t drive like an asshat so that kinda helps keep me off their radar too.

I’ve got nothing to hide so hopefully, if an officer has an issue with it, I get a warning first!
