I also like the taco pods. Very clean look.

Don't want this thread to get too off track, but ya I am making a gauge setup(TACO PODS) because everything else was either too obtrusive, or looked like it didn't belong in the Tacoma interior.

Do you think they will be ready for the initial release of the turbo kits?

@OVTune is there a way to go ahead and pay for the cable and software with the turbo kit even though the cable is sold out?

I don't need it now, but having it ship with the turbos would be cool.

well, it's finished, but you will have to wait years before anyone can tell you engine, transmission, drivetrain longevity.

Power numbers are on the first post. Kit is going to be complete. First 25 will be shipped next month sometime according to mat. Boosted longevity is unknown. This is the first FI that will be available for this truck. This engine seems to be very overbuilt though. All I can say is sit back and watch what happens with the first 25 kits.

Where will we mount an AFR 02 sensor? and will the kit have a bung for it or is this something we'll address individually?

I do not, the only thing I've purchased is the manifold.

All I want to do is combine the shipping of the cable and turbos. I won't be adding fuel upgrades to my powermax system at first.

How come you aren’t adding DI since you are going powermax? Why not just get it done while you’re in there?

I get it. It’s nice to break up $7k purchases. Also, maybe the setup is good enough without the DI and people want to save the $1.8k.

OV said there’s no discernible difference between base and powermax at low psi. Didn’t think about breaking up the price...I can see that, thanks.

I would think *maybe* the powermax run a bit cooler? Speculating of course, Mat would probably know

Kodeman hit the nail on the head, maybe I get the powermax and am satisfied for a while, then upgrade after a few months or so.

Also, I know OVTune said the difference was asinine, but the better powermax turbos "maybe" don't produce the same heat at same PSI even low. Purely speculation of course.
