Are Crown S/S brake lines supposed to come with thin round washers?

I received them today and they came with the mountings clips. But I thought they were also supposed to come with thin round washers for support on the mounting brackets because the hex doesn’t offer much support?

I sworn I could have seen some posts where people said that they came with round thin washers.

I would contact the people who made it. I'll bet they know.

I’ve installed numerous extended brake lines of varying brands and none have come with washers. Take that for what it’s worth.

They’re closed for the weekend I hope I would get an answer faster here since many people have bought Crown brake lines.

That’s good to know. I was going to install them tomorrow and I didn’t want to have the brake lines all part and then find out that the new Crown lines do not work.

I also question it because 4Runner lines come with the thin round washers.

I installed Stoptech front brake lines 2 weeks ago and the flange has a lot of support like the factory rubber lines. The Crown brake lines I just got has no flange at all, just the corners of the hex for support. Seems to me if I don’t clock it just right and catch it on the flats of the hex it will just go through the bracket.

The only reason I’m changing the brake lines out again is the Stoptechs are too short and they are even shorter that the factory rubber lines. When the steering is at full lock the brake lines are pulled taught.

You could put the supplied mounting clips on one side and reuse oem clips for the other.

The oem mounting clips fit into the small grooved diameter so it won’t clear the bigger diameter that is adjacent to the hex.

I’m going to take some measurements with my caliper to see if flat of the hex will have enough lip for support in the mounting bracket before I remove anything. It might work.
