Should be hitting shelves now. I grabbed this one out of the box earlier this week and the liquor store knew nothing about it... although this stuff isn't popular here, even though it's now part of the Ardbeg core range lineup. Was 35.99 IIRC.

You can definitely smell the oakiness to it, if that’s a word lol. First few sips in and I like it! Still working on my palate

It's worth the <$40 it costs. Different enough from the standard 10 year to warranty a spot in the lineup, but I wish it was higher than 47.4% ABV.

It's a viscous peat attack without a lot of complexity. Not an everyday dram for me, but still one I'm happy to keep in my arsenal.

I still haven't opened the Supernova you picked up for me... I wish I could have scored a backup bottle, but regardless my curiosity is running strong... I'm so close to pulling that seal!

I like to think about what it reminds me of. With the double oaked pick I tried, it reminded me of s'mores and cedar with a bit of cherry. Really good stuff!

I will say that given the modern trend of non-age-statement bottles and young peat bomb popularity (Octomore, kilchoman)... it takes some big ass copper still balls to slap a 5 year age statement on a bottle of whisky. Especially from the popular Islay distillery that catches a ton of shit from their NAS bottles like Uigeadail, An Oa, and Corryvreckan. The cult of Ardbeg grows, and I will spread its gospel!
