pics 3 an 4 show a little flex,as i was testing to see if the emergency parking brake cable had enough length[just barely]
pic 3, 4, an 5 has the 1 1/2 inch add a leaf installed on non tsb springs, this got me evened up around 42 1/2 inch fender to ground,on all fours

They limit the travel of the suspension so that it doesn't travel too far and rub/damage items.

    Nice truck btw.

limits down travel ,aftermarket uca i have don't stop down travel, i was getting ball joint damage on spring, an CV boot damage off of lower control arm
now i can adjust were i want it to stop
now some shocks stop down travel, the rcd 4.5 kit shocks do not
plus its not good on the shock
i regularly get the truck on 2 or 3 wheels when 4x4ing, safest way to save parts i could come up with, was straps

if i had stock upper arms ,or a upper arm that has stops, then i wouldn't have to have straps, but i like my light racing arms,
from were I'm welded to frame to center of lower shock bolt is 1 1/2 inch's of travel
at the wheel that gives me a little over 2 5/8 inch's of wheel travel down from riding position
the strap is 12in ,for every 12in of strap there is 1inch of stretch,
so there is only 1/2inch of slop in the strap[just looks tight, its not]
