I was born in 82.

 

As bad as this sounds. The eperiences we had growing up will never be experienced by most kids today. Too bad too. Those life lessons made a huge difference to me and how l turned out.

 

Time sure flies eh?

 

Well. Thursday my daughter turned 8, and I held my nieces newborn (the niece that was five when I met my wife).

And last year I realized there were kids born when I was in basic training that were now old enough to enlist.

So yeah, age kinda taps you on the shoulder and slaps you across the face every now and then.

My 18 year old has told me her entire life that she wished she could've grown up in the 80s

 

I'm a year older than my grandmother was when I was born. Weird to think about

 

I feel the same way about some posts. But I usually "like" it anyway (at least in this thread) just to acknowledge to the poster that I read it

Got my license when I was 14 in October 1984.

70's and 80's were the best.

 

I got my learner's permit when l turned 14 in 1980. l was living in Calgary at the time. l sure miss those innocent days.
The Rockies are amazing. Akways made me feel so small.
